Simple setup instructions
Use these short guides for notifications, calendars, Webex links, and common account questions.
Enable Chrome notifications on a Mac
- Open PALM in Chrome and sign in.
- Open Notifications and select Enable notifications.
- In Chrome, open the lock/settings icon beside the website address and set Notifications to Allow.
- On the Mac, open System Settings → Notifications → Google Chrome and turn on Allow notifications.
- Make sure Focus or Do Not Disturb is not hiding alerts, then return to PALM and select Send test notification.
Add to Google Calendar
- Reserve the session in PALM.
- Open the session and select Google Calendar.
- Review the title, time, location, and Webex link.
- Select Save in Google Calendar.
Add to Outlook Calendar
- Reserve the session and open its details.
- Select Outlook Calendar.
- Sign in to Microsoft 365 if requested.
- Review the event and select Save.
If Outlook blocks the web link, use Apple / Other (.ics) and open the downloaded file with Outlook.
Add to Apple Calendar
- Open the reserved session in PALM.
- Select Apple / Other (.ics).
- Open the downloaded calendar file.
- Choose the Apple calendar you want and select Add.
Webex meeting links
Checking automatic Webex availability…
- Today: tutors create the Webex meeting and paste its secure link into PALM.
- After authorization: select Create the Webex meeting automatically while scheduling; PALM handles the meeting and link.
